A Year with My TVS Ronin

After owning the TVS Ronin for over a year, I have my fair share of joys and gripes. The 225.9 cc engine is a powerhouse, delivering 20.4 bhp which makes highway rides exhilarating. Its unique design is a head turner, combining modern and retro elements. The seating is quite comfortable, even for long durations, which is a plus on longer trips. However, the Ronin's weight (159 kg) can be a bit difficult to handle in dense traffic. I also find the mileage a bit disappointing at around 35 kmpl which is a significant factor for daily commuters in India.

A good daily commuter.

Ronin and apache are like anniyan(aparachit)and remo. It's the aparachit version of apache.Except for the looks and relaxed riding posture, I didnt find any drastic differences, Yeah in paper 25cc more.In my view ronin dual abs is a good, But a pricey daily commuter. Its not apt for long highway rides.I took it for a 200km ride, By the end of the ride, My hands felt numbness for some time, Funny cos the speed was consistent and below 60kmph, I had an aching right leg calf( i did take two 20min breaks in between), While returning i opted a 350cc motorcycle for the 200km ride and didnt face any of these issues, This could be a one off experience with ronin. But i didn't feel anything extraordinary with ronin.A feel good commuter for short rides mostly, Thats it.Its light weight, Easy to flick in city traffic.Good mileage 40-45kmpl.The pricing of dual abs model is definitely wrongly done by tvs.The dual abs variant should have been 1.80-1.85l onroad.***never buy single channel abs motorcycles***.Even if you are a pro at breaking. You cannot control road conditions and reckless riders.Make a safer choice always buy dual abs models".Kudos to bajaj for leading the way with pulsar n160dual abs a pre-owned dual abs motorcycle is also good pocket-friendly option instead of single abs, Nowadays there are many genuine pre-owned bike sellers.I owned 2 pre-owned bikes before. They were worth the money spent.Always test ride multiple times before your purchase decision. All the best.

I've had this bike I've had

I've had this bike for 6 months, And it's still in excellent condition; the overall appearance is excellent, And the engine power is fantastic. This is the most stunning modern cruiser bike available in this segment.Full of features like dual abs in the top model and bluetooth connectivity. The refinement level of the engine is very good, But after 90 kmph, It vibrates a little bit.If you want to compare this with the hunter 350, This has a better riding posture, Which is very comfortable for long rides. The front break is very good. The rear braking system is standard. This motorcycle gives a mileage of up to 30 kmpl in town and 40 kmpl on the highway. The exhaust note is excellent, The road grip is improved, And this bike has a large turning radius for its handlebars.Which creates a little problem when you try to turn your bike in a small space.Overall bike performance is very good.

I write this after riding

5.0

I write this after riding it from balasore to kolkata and back - 520 kms.Started early morning from balasore, Returned late night.4 hrs on an average. Its after my 1st service.Must say experience is awesome.1.Brakes are awesome 2.Smooth on humps3.Headlights are fine4.Seats could have a bit more coverage for comfortable rides in long journeys 5.Sitting posture is in between aggressive and erect.Works for both city as well as highway rides.6.Very good mileage ~427.Very good suspension 8.Smooth rides at high speeds ~4500 rpm9.Smooth gear shifting10.Feels very balanced.
