Tata Motors was quite busy with their display at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, featuring models like the Nexon CNG, Curvv, and the Dark Editions of the Nexon EV and Safari. But that wasn’t all, as the carmaker also presented the Altroz Racer Edition, which debuted at Auto Expo 2023 but features minor updates.
Up front, the Altroz Racer Edition bears a resemblance to the standard Altroz, but it distinguishes itself with a black hood with white stripes, along with the dual-tone exterior shade.
On the profile, you see new blacked-out multi-spoke alloy wheels, a different design from the model showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. Moving on to the rear it gets split LED tail lamps separated by black trim, and a larger spoiler than the standard Altroz.

We did not have an in-depth look at the Altroz Racer’s interior at the Bharat Mobility Expo but the model showcased earlier featured all-black upholstery with red inserts along the dashboard and the centre console, enhancing the sporty nature of the Altroz. You can take a look at its interior in our earlier report.
The Altroz Racer Edition comes packed with features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, sunroof, and a Harman sound system. Its safety kit should get features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera with sensors, and rain-sensing wipers.
Underneath the hood, the Altroz Racer Edition is powered by the 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine sourced from the Nexon. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and will be offered with an automatic transmission option as well.
The Altroz Racer will command a significant premium over the Altroz turbo variants, priced between Rs 9.09 lakh and Rs 9.63 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it will directly compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line.
