Mahindra Thar 5-Door Latest Updates
The base variant of the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door has been spotted. The entry-level variant was spotted with steel rims. The base variant will miss out on prominent comfort and convenience features and will only get the essentials. The 5-door version of the Thar will make its debut on August 15, 2024.
Features of Mahindra Thar 5-Door : Mahindra will offer the bigger Thar with additional features like push-button start/stop, a larger touchscreen infotainment system and auto air conditioning. Rest features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, roof-mounted speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, a multi-info display, and keyless entry will be carried from the three-door model. Safety will be taken care of with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door Engine : The five-door Thar will borrow powertrain options from its three-door sibling, which include 150PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 130PS 2.2-litre diesel engines. However, it could come in a higher state of tune. It will equip a 6-speed manual along with an optional torque converter automatic. Mahindra could also offer it with a two-wheel drivetrain to bring the entry-level prices down.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door Rivals : The off-roader will lock horns with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha in the country.
