8 Months with the TVS Scooty Pep Plus
Eight months ago, I decided to purchase the TVS Scooty Pep Plus. Its lightweight frame and enough powerfull engine makes 5 bhp have made it incredibly easy to maneuver through crowded city streets a huge plus for a daily office commute. It is also quite fuel efficient averaging about 60 kmpl which is economical. However, the small engine does struggle on inclines and with a payload the performance noticeably dips. Also, the build quality feels a bit on lower side when compared to other scooters in the market.

I am using this scooter for around 10 years and it gives good mileage in the city and is quite good. It is a budget friendly scooter and is a very light weight scooter so it is very easy to handle although it comes with the drum brakes but the brakes performs well. It is comfortable to ride and the performance is decent enough and at around 40 to 60 kmph of speed it gives around 60 to 65 kmpl of mileage which is very good but the design is not that good.

When I drive this bike, according to me it has great mileage of about 55 kmpl . It comes in classic and cute design. It's performance is peppy for city rides, easy to handle due to lightweight . People enjoy the easy riding experience and low maintenance. It's speed is good for city speeds, not ideal for highways. It is a affordable two-wheeler option. TVS service network is generally good. It costs low maintenance . According to me , it lacks power for high speeds.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus Pros and Cons
Scooty Pep Plus Positives Points: Low retail price, Low kerb weight, Excellent fuel economy
Scooty Pep Plus Negatives Points: Low on power, Not a full-size scooter, Low on features
Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : The Scooty Pep + has been one of the bestsellers in the segment and has been a favourite among the ladies owing to its small size, low kerb weight and manageable 88cc motor. It is good value if you are looking for a no frills scooterette.
