Skoda Laura RS launched

Celebrating Skoda’s illustrious 110 years of motorsport heritage and its recent victory at the 2010 IRC championship, SkodaAuto India has today launched the Skoda Laura RS. Like the earlier Rally Sport or RS version of the Octavia, the Laura RS comes with direct injection technology coupled with a turbocharger on a 1.8 liter engine capable of churning out 162 PS and a six speed short-shifting gearbox, making it music to the ears of enthusiasts.

Inspired straight from the race car, the lateral seats in Alcantara leather with the RS emblem and steel sports pedals set the tone for the interiors, adding to the comfort as well. On the outside, the Laura RS comes with 16 inch alloy wheels with 205/55 mm tyres, an aerodynamic spoiler, dual chrome exhaust, xenon curve projector headlights with dynamic leveling. The Laura RS will be available in four different shades – Sprint Yellow, Race Blue, Candy White and Magic Black.
