Porsche Panamera Diesel for Europe

The four-door luxury car is fitted with a Volkswagen 3litre V6 common-rail turbo-diesel engine producing 247horsepower, and a Cayanne similar 549Nm of torque. Porsche claims that a full tank of 80litres of Diesel can cover a distance of 745 miles (equivalent to the distance from Mumbai to Jaipur) reaching a 100km/h in 6.8 seconds.

 
The rear wheel drive car has an eight-speed automatic transmission with turbocharger employing electrically controlled Variable Geometry Turbochargers (VGT). Boastful Performance, throbbing torque and low consumption of fuel are not the only features of the new Panamera. Auto start/stop function, adaptive air-suspension (alternative to the standard steel spring), are some more features that take the drive quality of the car to another level.

The Diesel car is set to be on sale across Europe by August this year with a price tag of £62,134 (Rs. 46 lakh approx). With an impressive mileage to back the Panamera, the car is sure to come into the market with a bang. Though its Indian launch is yet to be heard about, it can be said for sure that when the diesel variant will make its way to India it will enhance the sales of the model.
