Maruti Suzuki will launch the highly anticipated Vitarra Brezza on March 8 with a full price unveil. The Indo-Japanese auto giant had unveiled the compact SUV Vitara Brezza at the 2016 Auto Expo in New Delhi and it immidiately went on to become one of the most talked about cars in India. The Vitara Brezza is a compact SUV offering from India's largest car manufacturer and is being eagerly awaited by a lot of aspiring buyers.
The Vitara Brezza will mark Maruti Suzuki’s entry in the highly competitive compact SUV segment. Maruti Suzuki is likely to price the Vitara Brezza starting from Rs 6 lakh up to Rs 8.5 lakh for the top-end variant. The new offering will be available in four variants to choose from, namely LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+. In the above mentioned price range the Vitara Brezza will be seen competing against rivals like the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300. The Hyundai Creta which currently leads the compact SUV market should not pose a threat to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza considering its price.
The Indian market will receive only the diesel engine variant of the Vitara Brezza which has been sourced from Fiat. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder DDIS diesel engine is capable of producing 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque which drives the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki will also manufacture the petrol engine variant of the compact SUV but will be available only for the international market.
