Ducati Scrambler Mike Hailwood Special Edition unveiled

The Ducati Scrambler is among the prettiest motorcycles that have been launched in the recent past. The minimalistic and retro styling makes the Scrambler stand out among its competitors. Officially the Scrambler is offered in various variants and customising is among the highlights of the motorcycle. Various iterations of the bike have been launched officially and unofficially through custom bike builders. But that hasn’t stopped Ducati Thailand from adding a new variant to the Scrambler. It unveiled the Ducati Scrambler Mike Hailwood Special Edition motorcycle.

The bike features unique graphics, cosmetic updates and mechanical additions. The base bike for the Mike Hailwood inspired Scrambler is the Icon variant and the bike has been limited to just 58 units to maintain exclusivity. The Ducati Scrambler Mike Hailwood Special Edition motorcycle has been priced at around Rs 14 lakh in the Thailand market with 25 units being already sold. Mike Hailwood is regarded as among the best motorcycle racers with 9 world championship titles, 14 Isle of Man TT wins and 76 Grand Prix triumphs.

The livery on the Ducati motorcycle has been inspired from the Ducati 900SS piloted by the legendary rider as he made his comeback into the world of professional racing after an 11-year hiatus. The nose fairing is a unique addition and it endows the Scrambler with a 70’s vibe. Other additions on the motorcycle include redesigned handlebar, single seat unit, rear cowl and LED indicators. On the mechanical front the Scrambler Mike Hailwood Special Edition gets equipped with Ohlins rear suspension system and Termignoni exhaust for a blissful aural note.
