It is a vehicle that screams adventure, yet does not shy away from the urban landscape. The 2.0 liter Multijet diesel engine is a powerhouse, offering 170 horsepower, easily handling both highways and rugged paths with a smooth 9 speed automatic transmission. The fuel efficiency, however is where I felt the pinch averaging about 14-16 kmpl, which is little bit less than ideal for daily commutes in India.

Jeep Compass Pros and Cons

Compass Positives Points: Brand value, commanding design, fun-to-drive, much more premium on the inside and still has great off-road abilities. New 2x4 diesel automatic also drops the entry price.

Compass Negatives Points: Limited space, noisy diesel engine, no petrol option anymore.

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : The Compass delivers on critical fronts like handling, off-road ability and stunning design. However, you do pay a premium for the higher variants.
