Yamaha India expanded its operations by launching the new Fascino scooter. It is the fourth scooter in the Yamaha India portfolio after the Yamaha Ray, Ray Z and Alpha. The Yamaha Fascino has been launched at Rs 52,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new scooter will be manufactured at Yamaha India’s new scooter production facility in Chennai. The styling of the Fascino is a fusion of retro and modern design language and this should help the scooter in standing apart in our scooter market. Yamaha claims a fuel effeciency figure of 66kmpl which makes it among the most fuel effecient scooters in the Indian market.
The Yamaha Fascino's 113cc mill generates around 7.1PS of peak power and 8.1Nm of torque. Suspension duties on the Yamaha Fascino are handled by telescopic front forks and a twin shock setup at the back. Braking is done by drum brakes at front and rear. The Yamaha Fascino will be offered in five different colour options. The new Yamaha scooter will be pitched against the Honda Activa 3G, TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro etc. Yamaha offer 24,000km or two year warranty for the Fascino.
