Volkswagen gave to the world, what Maruti gave to India - the peoples' car. Today, the German auto giant has successfully driven into the hearts of Indian buyers, the sales figures speaking for themselves.

The Volkswagen brand continued its impressive growth in the New Year with 5,601 vehicles sold in the month of January alone. Out of these, over 5000 units belonged to the award winning Polo and Vento. Volkswagen has registered a ten-fold rise over January 2010. The iconic New Beetle, the powerful SUV Touareg, the luxurious Phaeton, the Polo and the Vento are available in the Indian market today.

“We are pleased to see the success story continue in the New Year too. We look forward to further strengthening the position of both our volume models in the coming months and ensure a good growth rate of our premium models in the market,” said Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd.
