At the 2013 EICMA Motor Show in Milan, MV Agusta had unveiled the F3 800 Ago as a tribute bike to Giacomo Agostini. The premium Italian motorcycle manufacturer had said that it plans to launch the bike in near future and it kept its word as the F3 800 has been launched at Rs 20 lakh (excluding taxes). Giacomo Agostini is considered as the best rider of all time with 15 world championship titles and an unprecedented record of 122 Grand Prix wins. ‘Ago’ as he is fondly called by fans had also won the iconic Isle of Man TT race on 10 occasions. To set the F3 800 Ago visually apart from the standard offering, it has been finished in the Italian tri-colour with golden accents in rims and frame. Other details on the bike include aluminium footpegs, carbon fiber front and rear fenders. To reduce the weight of the bike further, the F3 800 Ago employs forged rims that reduce overall weight by further 2kg in comparison to standard bike.

The three-cylinder engine produces 150PS at 13,000rpm and torque figure stands at 88Nm at 10,600rpm. Traction control with eight different settings is standard alongwith an option of disengaging it. Apart from the Brembo sourced disc brakes at front and rear, the F3 800 Ago also features a Bosch 9MP ABS system. The MV Agusta F3 800 Ago will be limited to just 300 units to maintain exclusivity. A silver plaque attached to the steering yoke will display the serial number of the bike and the fuel tank of the bike will carry the personal autograph of 15-times world champion. In addition, the MV Agusta F3 800 Ago customer will receive a special certificate signed by Giacomo Agostini himself as an additional proof of authenticity. The F3 800 Ago will be available in the European market from May 2014 onwards.
