Maruti Suzuki seems to be in a mood to milk in profit on the auspicious occasion of Onam. The country’s largest carmaker has announced a special Onam edition of the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800. The company also delivered over 3,000 cars on the occasion of the first day of the Malyalam month ‘Chingam’ out of which 1,000 units were of the Alto.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Onam Edition will be available with 15 additional features, including reverse parking sensors, music system with speakers, power car charger, Onam graphics and decal, embroidered cushions and designer seat covers. The 'Onam' package of Alto 800 will be retailed at a discounted price of Rs 17,350.
According to Ram Suresh Akella, Commercial Business Head, Southern Region Maruti Suzuki, Kerala is an important market for the company and Alto 800 is the highest selling model in the region.He further stated that the company is confident that the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Onam Edition will delight customers.
This special-edition model remains unchanged on the mechanical front and the car will be powered by the same 796cc, three-cylinder engine producing 48PS of power and 69Nm of torque mated to a five-speed transmission.
Earlier last week, Volkswagen had announced special offers on its Polo and Vento cars for customers in Kerala.
