For those looking to buy the EcoSport, here's the bad news - Ford dealerships have stopped accepting bookings of certain variants of the EcoSport owing to the overwhelming demand for the compact SUV. The good news is that some diesel variants are still available

Ford EcoSport

With waiting periods for the EcoSport stretching to a whopping 240 days in some cases,Ford dealerships have stopped bookings of the compact SUV.

Variant availability differs from dealer to dealer. In Delhi, for instance, bookings for all petrol variants have been temporarily paused. These include the Ambiente, Trend and the top-spec Titanium variant with the 1.5 litre petrol engine as well as the 1-litre EcoBoost with the option pack. What comes as a surprise is the non-availability of the 1.5 Titanium automatic as well!

For now, booking a diesel is your best bet and availability of those too varies from dealer to dealer. While most showrooms claim stock of only the Titanium and Titanium Option Pack variants, with an average waiting period of around 10-12 months, there are a few dealerships which offer the Ambiente and Trendline as well. Waiting period for these vary from five to eight months.
