Date a Bike launches bike rental service in Chennai

Riding premium motorcycles such as Harley Davidson, Triumph and Royal Enfield has a charm of its own. Who wouldn't like to own one or ride one for that matter? Bike rental services are already available in Goa, Pune, Ladakh and Bangalore and the latest city to join the bandwagon is Chennai. Bike rental company – Date a Bike has launched its operations in Chennai and makes premium motorcycles available to customers on rental basis.

Touted as the city’s first bike rental service, Date a Bike offers an array of motorcycles which include the Harley-Davidson Street 750, Triumph Bonneville, Royal Enfield Continental GT and Royal Enfield Desert Storm 500 available on rental basis. Riders can hire a bike from this company on a 5-hour, 10-hour and 24-hour basis.

The Desert Storm 500 is available for Rs 1,500 for five hours while the most expensive offering - the Triumph Bonneville is available at Rs 4,400 for five hours. Date a Bike also offers 50 per cent off on weekdays, Monday-Friday (noon), on 5-hour and 10-hour packages.

The rental cost, however, does not include fuel charges. The rider availing this service will be given the bike with a tank full of fuel and will have to return the bike just the same way. Customers interested in availing this service, will have to submit their original passport or any other government validated ID proof along with a refundable security deposit of Rs 15,000 that will be used to deduct the rental rate, fuel refilling costs (in case the rider hasn’t tanked up) and damage charges (if any).

These bikes are available with a comprehensive insurance and the company states that it can also arrange for baggage theft insurance as per the customer’s request. Date a Bike also offers accessories such as GoPro camera at Rs 750 and riding gear inclusive of helmet, jacket and gloves for Rs 1,250.
