BIC Open Track Day

The Buddh International Circuit will host an Open Track Day on February 22 inviting enthusiasts to bring their own cars and bikes and drive on the race track.

That means you can time yourself on your own bike or car and even strive to better yourself on a lap around the Buddh International Circuit. For car lovers, each session will cost Rs 5,000, a session lasting 45 minutes. For bikes, each session will come at a cost of Rs 4,000.

Registrations are open and if you want to book yourself, you will have to make an advance payment to Jaypee Sports International Ltd.

Participants must possess a valid driver’s licence and car drivers must wear long pants, sleeved shirts, closed shoes, seat belts and helmets. Even passengers are required to comply with these guidelines.

For bike riders, full leather armoured riding suit, gloves, boots and helmet are mandatory. Helmets must be full faced, be ISI specification or Snell approved, of recent design, be in good condition, show no signs of impact on the exterior and fit the wearer. Proper visor must be worn as well. No pillion riders will be allowed.

And your car or bike will also have to clear a technical inspection. Tyres must have sufficient tread. Slick tyres are allowed but must have adequate rubber depth. Brakes will be checked for action and tightness of components as well as thickness of pads on disc brakes.

Any fluid leakage, including brakes, forks, engine, transmission, battery and radiator will lead to disqualification and refusal to participate.  No vehicles will be allowed on track without a tech sticker. 

Participants are welcome to bring in guests without any additional cost.
