Bajaj Allianz announces 3 year insurance policy for two-wheelers

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Co Ltd. has launched a new three year insurance policy for two-wheeler in India. The policy covers the vehicle for three consecutive years thus avoiding the yearly renewal hassle. A 24x7 roadside assistance service is also provided to the customer with the three year policy. Roadside assistance service will be offered at free of cost for women owners for the first year. 

The three year insurance cover comes with no premium hike during its tenure and will help to save on annual third party motor premium hikes. Under the three year cover, if no claims are made during the tenure of the policy, the insurer is eligible for extra no-claim bonus on the next renewal of the policy. Bajaj Allianz has assured that even if a claim of partial loss is registered, the company will allow the refund of the premium.

Commenting on the new policy, Tapan Singhel, MD and CEO, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance said, "Every year, a large number of two-wheeler owners do not renew their insurance policies. As a result, India today has the highest number of uninsured two wheelers plying on the road. This long term policy will not only ensure that they are covered for a longer period of time, but will also help save their outgo towards their motor premium in comparison to a single year policy. Most importantly, the two wheeler customers now have an access to 24x7 road side assistance. In our attempt to make travel worry free and safe for women, this facility will be offered complimentary to our women customers."

The 24x7 roadside assistance will offer support in situation like accident, flat tyre, lost key, low battery, towing, minor repairs and legal advice. Furthermore, the service will also offer accommodation, taxi benefits and medical co-ordination. As per the company, this service has been developed after considering the challenges faced by women on the road.
