2014 Skoda Octavia Scout complete details

Skoda has revealed more details about the 2014 Octavia Scout, which was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in March this year. The rugged Octavia Scout boasts a distinctive design as well as additional interior space and a powerful engine range.

On the exterior front, the new Skoda Octavia Scout gets a black plastic moulding for the front and the rear bumpers and the side skirts. The lower front panel has a silver off-road attachment, while the radiator grille bears the Scout badge. Aluminium-effect roof railings are available as an option and the rough-road package with additional underbody protection is a standard feature.

The suspension system of the new Skoda Octavia Scout has been raised by 171mm and the vehicle is riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, which have been wrapped in 220/50 tyres.

The interior can be ordered in either a classic black or a black and brown colour combination. The luggage compartment measures 610 litres with rear seats up and an impressive 1,740 litres with rear seats folded down.

The engine range includes a 184PS 2.0-litre TDI in combination with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG) and an all-wheel-drive. The combined fuel consumption is rated at a claimed 19kmpl with CO2 emissions of 134g/km. 

There is also a 2.0-litre TDI engine with 150PS and a 1.8-litre TSI powerplant with 180PS, which is fitted with a 6-speed automatic DSG gearbox and returns a claimed fuel-efficiency figure of 14kmpl with CO2 emissions of 158g/km on combined cycle. 

The new 2014 Skoda Octavia Scout will hit the European showrooms in August next month.
