It’s not simply a cosmetic job, for the Creta N Line Night Edition, which is exclusive to the Brazilian market, also gets more poke from a larger heart

  • Hyundai Creta N Line Night Edition debuts in Brazil.
  • Gets an all-black exterior.
  • Limited edition model gets a 2-litre petrol engine instead of the 1-litre turbo-petrol unit.
  • This edition is limited to 900 units only.
  • Creta sold in Brazil gets ADAS, which the Indian model misses, for now.

Hyundai has revealed the Night Edition trim of the Creta N Line in Brazil. As its name suggests, the sporty iteration of the SUV is all black, which dials up its stealth levels. Dare we say, the treatment is very similar to Tata’s Dark Edition models sold in India. So, without any further ado, let’s see what the Creta N Line Night Edition is all about.

Obviously, as its name suggests, the Creta N Line Night Edition is finished in a black hue and all the contrasting elements such as the grille, alloys, roof rails and bits on the front and rear bumpers are finished in… you guessed it… black. Heck, even the brake callipers, which are usually red in N Line cars, are painted black. So yes, Hyundai has gone for the full stealth mode here.

Things on the inside, though, are more in line with its regular N Line offerings as it doesn’t require much tinkering. So yeah, you get an all-black dashboard with tinges of red found on the upholstery and gear lever to give that sporty contrast. This being an N Line model, the SUV features a bespoke steering wheel and gear lever as well.

The Creta N Line sold in Brazil gets almost all the features that are available with the standard Creta sold in India. However, one big addition it gets over the India-spec model is ADAS, which adds an extra layer of safety.

The standard variants of the Creta N Line sold in the Latin American nation get the 120PS, 1-litre turbo-petrol engine plonked in the India-spec i20 N Line. However, to match its looks, the Night Edition gets a larger 2-litre naturally aspirated unit putting out 167PS and 202Nm, driving the front wheels through an auto ‘box.

The Creta N Line Night Edition is priced at BRL 181,490 (Rs 28.88 lakh approx.) and production of this particular edition of the SUV will be capped at 900 units, all of which will be sold only in Brazil.

So, our Brazilian readers, if you have your eyes on this special edition SUV, be quick to get your hands on one before it gets sold out. Pre-launch sales of the SUV commences on March 13.
