About Honda
Honda Cars made its debut in India in 1995 with models like the City and the Accord. The Honda City continues to be the strongest product in Honda’s India lineup followed by models like the Amaze and the Civic. In the SUV space, Honda offers the 7-seater CR-V as well as smaller SUVs like the Jazz-based WR-V and the BR-V. Discontinued Honda models in India include the Brio and Mobilio. While Honda used to sell petrol-only models in India for the first 15 years, the carmaker began selling diesel cars in 2013 with the first product being the Amaze. Honda is known for its engines and is often remarked as the best engine manufacturer in the world. Like other Japanese carmakers, Honda is also a name that stands for stellar reliability. The diesel engines go by the name i-DTEC while the petrol engines are called i-VTEC. If there’s one thing that’s missing from Honda India’s portfolio, that’ll be some fun-to-drive cars. Honda, in India has a different image which represents no-nonsense cars that are dependable and get the job done, unlike in other markets where they also stand for fun.

City4.4199 reviewsSpacious Sedan with a Touch of Class but Pricy
Having owned my Honda City for over eight months now I appreciate its refined performance and class leading space. The 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine never feels underpowered and the smoothness of its CVT transmission enhances the driving experience. The fuel efficiency is respectable at approximately 17 km/l which is good for a mid sized sedan. The room inside is where the City truly shines. There is enough space in both rows making long drives comfortable. The trunk is spacious too easily fitting luggage for weekend trips.

Amaze4.2273 reviewsCompact Sedan with Great Mileage
It has been three months since I bought my Honda Amaze and it is turned out to be quite the practical city car. The 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine gives me enough power (90hp) to maneuver through city traffic smoothly. It is extremely fuel efficient as well offering close to 18 km/l which is perfect for daily commuting. The compact design makes it easy to park in tight spots and the cabin is quite roomy for a compact sedan. The interiors of the Amaze do feel a bit dated compared to its rivals and the use of plastic is more prevalent than I would like.

City Hybrid2.961 reviewsThe Urban Cruiser with a Green Twist
I have been driving the Honda City Hybrid for a few months now and it is quite the game changer in the sedan segment. This car offers an impressive fuel economy thanks to its eHEV hybrid technology averaging about 27 km/l which is a blessing with the rising fuel prices. The transition from electric to petrol mode is seamless making city drives smoother and quieter. But its not all smooth sailing. The boot space is somewhat compromised due to the hybrid battery which can be a dealbreaker for those who love long road trips with lots of luggage.

Elevate4.9107 reviewsA Fresh Entrant in the Compact SUV Scene
After months of anticipation I finally got my hands on the Honda Elevate and I must say it does look promising at first glance. Driving this compact SUV feels smooth with its 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine that gives a decent blend of performance and fuel efficiency. What really caught my eye was its stylish design and spacious interiors which is a huge plus for family outings. As much as I enjoy the sleek exterior and powerful engine I have noticed the infotainment system could be a bit more intuitive.
