New Mahindra Quanto : Why it makes sense for India
Scheduled for launch on the 20th of September this year, the Quanto is a sub-4 meter length UV package that has been built on the Ingenio platform, one that it shares with the already popular Xylo MUV

Mahindra’s most anticipated compact MPV, the ‘Quanto’ as we know it isn’t a far-fetched concept that forced itself to the assembly line or simply a downsized Xylo that looked to capitalize on the sub-4 meter length excise policies working in its favour.
Much to the contrary the new Quanto has been indigenously designed and developed by M&M on the proven Ingenio platform that it shares with the popular Xylo MUV. It has been developed after taking into account a lot of customer feedback and research at various stages of its development, insights which have helped in its fine-tuning and giving it a strong value proposition overall.
Even with its sub-4 meter length the new Quanto promises to offer eager buyers more space, more power, more seats and superior performance. Built on Mahindra rugged SUV architecture its compact proportions should offer it a distinctive advantage over stereotypical hatchbacks and sedans.

With the new Quanto Mahindra is clearly looking at bringing to the masses a more versatile and compact MPV that if priced competitively could very well turn into a very unique value proposition on Indian roads. The Quanto will try anad carve out a segment for itself in the already competitive MPV market and will target the needs of young urban India which enjoys an active lifestyle.
We expect the Quanto to offer an exciting upgrade at a premium to customers who are otherwise looking for premium diesel hatchbacks or entry level diesel sedans. Scheduled for launch on the 20th of September 2012, the Quanto once launched will be the smallest MUV in Mahindra's product portfolio.
