Renault Fluence Launched in India

by Rahul Basu Posted on 23 May 201178,235 Views36 Comments

Loaded with a host of driver focused and passenger comfort features, the new Fluence from Renault is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the Diesel and Rs 14.40 lakh for the Petrol versions

With the Logan episode behind them, French car maker Renault has now gone all out and brought to its Indian customers, one of its finest C Segment offerings, which looks good enough to give any of its existing competitors a gentle tap of the head. Say hello to the new Fluence, which according to Renault is a delightful combination of design and outstanding performance.

The new Fluence from Renault will be available to interested buyers with two engine options, the first being the more modest 1.5 liter Diesel powerplant capable of producing 106 PS @ 4000 rpm with 240 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm and the more aggressive 2.0 liter multipoint Petrol injection offering 137 PS @ 6000 rpm with 190 Nm of torque @ 3700 rpm. A manual 6-Speed gearbox for the diesel variant and an advanced 6-Speed CVT transmission for the torquier petrol option comes as standard with the new Fluence.

But what really sets the Fluence apart from the competition is the super comfortable interiors, which suddenly becomes a unique selling proposition when you enter this high-end sedan segment, where performance and luxury need to be in complete synch with one another. Alloy Wheels, Chrome Finish, Driver Lumbar Support, Storage Boxes Cup holders, Plush Leather upholstery and Rear Sunblinds all come together to make the Fluence one very comfortable car, whether you choose to take the wheel or just sit back and get driven around the city. But apart from the above mentioned aesthetics, there’s plenty of user friendly and purposeful technology in the new Fluence to support its wide frame and power its streamlined body.

The Renault Fluence has been fitted with some of the best driver focused technologies that one can expect from the upper segment premium sedan class of automobiles. This includes Tilt + Telescopic Steering, Engine Start/Stop, Smart Access, Cruise Control, Bluetooth connectivity to name a few. Safety has been given utmost importance in this car with SRS Airbags (Driver + Passenger), ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program and ASR coming as standard with the two versions on sale here in India.

The new Fluence from Renault is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the Diesel and Rs 14.40 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi) for the Petrol versions, and is poised to go up against well-perched competition like the Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Chevrolet Cruze here in India.

the interiers are not upto the mark as compared to the competition. the price tag seems to be high with respect to the logan reputation in india. My opinion is price tag around 8 to 10 can do little sales.

JUS ONE WORD ::: HOPELESS I was anticipating some GOOD DESIGNED CARS by RENAULT but this I seem is the successor to the LOGAN, well the price is as much as a premium car.
