Renault India has decided to hike the prices of Renault Scala, Renault Pulse and Renault Duster by one per cent. This increase in price would come into effect from July 1, 2014. Renault explained that this price hike is due to the swelling inputs cost, which has driven up the cost of components.
Renault Scala will now see an approximate price hike between Rs 7,000 and Rs 10,000, the prices of the Renault Pulse will increase approximately between Rs 4,000 and Rs 6,000 while Renault Duster will see a price hike between Rs 7,000 and Rs 11,000 approximately.
Currently, Renault offers five models in the Indian market which includes Renault Fluence, Renault Koleos, Renault Pulse, Renault Duster and Renault Scala. Renault India also exports the Duster to a growing number of right-hand drive markets.
These cars are manufactured at Renault's manufacturing facility located in Oragadam, Chennai. This plant has a capacity of manufacturing 4,80,000 units per annum. Currently, Renault India has 131 dealer outlets across the country.
