Renault Lodgy features revealed before launch

Aside from compact SUVs, the MPV segment has been growing like never before. And that is exactly the reason why every manufacturer wants to ensure that they have an offering in this segment. Maruti Suzuki has the Ertiga, Honda has the Mobilio. Up next, the Renault Lodgy.

Renault is all set to introduce its second sub-10 lakh UV in the Lodgy next month. The new MPV from will sport the same engine that we have already seen on the Duster. It will come with a 1.5-litre dCi unit that will be made available in the 85PS as well as the 110PS guise. The 104PS 1.6-litre petrol will also go on sale. Up front the Lodgy sports a chrome grille very similar to the one on the Koleos. It will come without skid plates and side-body claddings.  

On the inside the Lodgy will sport a dual-tone dashboard, with a piano black centre console with a touchscreen Media Nav system from the Duster 4x4. It also gets chrome surrounds for the centre console and the AC vents. The top-of-the-line RxZ model gets steering mounted controls electrically adjustable ORVMs and leather upholstery. It will also come with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, reversing camera and parking sensors. As far as safety is concerned, the Lodgy will come with ABS as well as two Airbags. 

When it is launched, the Renauly Lodgy will go up against the Honda Mobilio, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Chevrolet Enjoy and is expected to be launched at Rs 8-11 lakh.
