The country's leading riders will be in action in the second round of the Gulf Dirt Track National Championship 2012 for two-wheelers in Aurangabad, on June 2nd & 3rd 2012

Registrations open for Round 2 of Gulf Dirt Track National Championship 2012

Following a great response to the first round of the 2012 Gulf Dirt Track National Championship that concluded in Mangalore in March 2012, the second of five rounds of the FMSCI Championship now makes it way to the city of Aurangabad, for which entries having already begun pouring from Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Goa, Delhi Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ahmadabad, Bhopal  and of course the host city.

Organized by Sportscraft and supported by the Aurangabad Racing Organization and Roadies Racing Association of Aurangabad, the Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. sponsored motocross event will be held at the Army ground, Railway station road, Aurangabad.

In the 2nd round of the 2012 Gulf Dirt Track National Championship, there will be a total of 14 races consisting of nine Championships and five Open classes. Leading the challenge will be Bangalore’s Naresh V S, who stole the show in Mangalore, winning both races in the Private Expert Class. But he will have to watch his back, as all his close competitors will be looking to regain lost glory and score points in the impending round in Aurangabad.

Noah, who leads the foreign motorcycle upto 250cc class with 35 points, is also one of the favorites in his category. But his Bangalore mates R Natraj (34 points), Adnaan Ahmed (28) and Pramod Joshua (27) will be close on his tail looking to make up for just a point or two separating them from his current lead. Racing in their hometown in Round 2, local heroes; Akash Satpute, Rizwan Shaikh, Firoz Khan & Shaikh Ismail will be especially motivated and hungry for success.

All the above mentioned riders will also have to face stiff competition from talented Nashik riders, the likes of Shamim Khan, Ganesh Lokhande, Vineeth Kurup, Maansingh Thakur and Kaustubh Machhe.
This year the local Maharashtra class and novice class has also ensued interest with as many as 11 confirming entries for the local Maharashtra class and 9 for the novice.

Entry forms for Round 2 of the 2012 Gulf Dirt Track National Championship and its regulations are available at the SPORTSCRAFT office, Chitrakut, 3rd Floor, Siri Road, Chowpatty Bandstand, Mumbai 400 006, or on www.sportscraftindia.com. The closing date for entries will be accepted till 29th May 12.
