Visually, the Xtreme Sports has minor updates from the Xtreme, with dual LED pilot lamps and a slightly redesigned headlamp. It also gets an underbelly cowl and the fuel tank, exhaust, instrument panel, split seats and tail lamp look all-new.
The most significant change is to the engine, which is the same 149.2cc engine on the current Xtreme, but it has now been tuned to produce more power – up from 14.4PS to 15.2PS. Torque figures however, remain the same at 12.8Nm and the geabox is also the same 5-speed unit.
We would have liked to see a monoshock in the Xtreme Sports, but it sports rather conventional gas-charged dual shocks and front telescopic forks. The bike sports a rear disc brake as well, but Hero is expected to make a variant available with a rear drum brake as well.
