Zagato has just revealed a one-off Lamborghini Gallardo based concept called the 5-95

Automobili Lamborghini and Zagato, two of the most spectacular automakers in the world have come together to create a special one-off automobile for renown Lamborghini Collector Albert Spiess. Based on the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP570-4, Zagato has decided not to mess with the mechanicals of the high performance sports car and only concentrate on the exterior body panels instead.

As is expected with any Zagato made automobile, the most distinctive design element is its double bubble roof. The front of the car too has been completely redesigned and uses a twin intake setup with integrated headlamps. The large snout like radiator grille coupled with the one-off bonnet gives the Lamborghini 5-95 a distinctly classic look. The pronounced shoulder line that accentuates the front fenders and the large intake that is characteristic of most lampborghinis too have been completely redesigned in order to give the 5-95 a completely one-off look.

On the rear end, Zagato has continued its traditionally curvaceous design element with completely redone body panels. Apart from a large air scoop, which will now feed the engine alongside the side scoops, the rear cooling grille, has become much larger with two distinctive horizontal slats. The rectangular tail lamps of the Gallardo have been replaced with two large Alfa-Romeo inspired lamps festooned with LED technology. The exhaust outlets too have been redesigned and arranged into the bodywork as compared to the separate slots they have in the Gallardo.

Overall though, as compared to some of the incredibly unique cars Zagato has built in the past, the Lamborghini 5-95 looks like an amalgamation of cars that one can buy today.
