Ferrari has officially announced that they will launch two new showrooms in the country this year. This news comes as a welcome relief to current Ferrari owners who have been caught in the middle of a dispute between the company and an earlier dealer/importer. The new dealerships will also come with dedicated service centres and dedicated personnel that will extend service support to new and current Ferrari owners in the country. The addition of these service centres will also help Ferrari classic car owners with maintenance and restoration.
According to Ferrari, the Delhi dealer will be Select Cars Pvt. Ltd who will also handle most clients in the northern half of the country. In Mumbai, the new Ferrari dealer will be Navnit Motors who also have prior experience in high-end luxury cars such as Rolls Royce, BMW and Mini. The Ferrari dealership in Mumbai is expected to be inaugurated in March with the Bandra Kurla Complex shortlisted as the location for the same.
These new dealers in India will be Ferrari’s third coming in the country after two failed partners earlier. In fact, several people that booked cars under the last dealer’s regime have still not received their cars due to the dealer’s undergoing legal disputes with the Maranello based manufacturer. There are also confirmed reports of several cars, including a few new F12 Berlinettas and a few 458s languishing in the Mumbai and Delhi Customs warehouses due to the past dealer’s ongoing hassles with Ferrari. We hope the new dealer partners combined with Ferrari’s official entry into the country with its self appointed offices and man power will help ease the process of buying and owning a Ferrari in the country.
