BMW mobile showrooms to hit emerging markets in India
Weather proof, air-conditioned mobile showrooms will feature a four-car display to give customers a full scale BMW experience along with test drives

Competition in the Indian luxury car market is on the boil, Audi sold more cars than BMW in June 2012 thereby becoming the leading luxury car maker in India. Now, BMW is fighting back with its latest sales strategy - mobile showrooms!
The idea behind mobile showrooms is to reach prospective customers in emerging parts of India, to give them the full scale BMW experience. Weather proof, air-conditioned mobile showrooms will feature a four-car display, complete with a reception area and VIP lounge. Customers can interact with BMW experts and test drive vehicles too.
BMW will be showcasing the BMW X1, X3, 3 Series, 5 Series and the X5 in their mobile showrooms. BMW will also showcase its completely built-up (CBU) range of cars including the 6 Series, X6, 7 Series and the Z4 across different locations.

The BMW mobile showroom will reach select cities in seven states across India that have the market potential to be covered by BMW’s sales and service network. It will visit Karnal (Haryana), Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Patna (Bihar), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), and Nashik, Maharashtra.
“BMW India is the pioneer in bringing luxurious dealerships to India. We are the first luxury car manufacturer in India to take this experience a step ahead and closer to our customers in the emerging markets with the BMW Mobile Showroom. Today, BMW India has millions of fans and many of them come from emerging cities. With this unique travelling showroom, we wish to bring as many customers to the BMW fold and make them experience BMW and the sheer driving pleasure,” said, Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW Group India.
There are 25 BMW sales outlets as of now in India. BMW India plans to operate a total of 40 sales outlets in the country across emerging markets and metropolitan centres by the end of 2012. The first BMW mobile showroom will be open to the public on August 18 in Karnal, Haryana.
