Bentley teases its upcoming SUV

Bentley is trying its best to build hype around its forthcoming new SUV. The luxury carmaker has released a minute-long video which shows the Bentley SUV in the desert, along with shots of its hand-crafted interior.

The latest clip shows the new model receiving a familiar Bentley front grille flanked by circular headlamps. The SUV also has front fender vents, roof rails and a stylish tailgate with a sloping rear window. It also features the muscular rear fenders and shows the rich hand-stitched leather upholstery.

The British carmaker did not reveal much about this new model, but the caption for the video reads, “In the eyes of Bentley, the SUV is not just supremely capable in any environment, it is also supremely comfortable – and with new vistas on the world, you will see through new eyes.”

This SUV will reportedly ride on Volkswagen Groups’ MLB EVO platform, which underpins the Porsche Macan and Audi A8, and is expected to come equipped with a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine and a 6.0-litre W12 engine.

This forthcoming new  SUV is expected to be released in 2016, and the British marque also has plans for a plug-in hybrid variant in 2017.
