While the facelifted Maruti Swift is expected to be launched in the November, booking for the same have already commenced. The minimum booking amount for the new Maruti Swift is Rs 25,000.
The new Swift is expected to have minor cosmetic changes on the outside including a restyled bumper with larger air dams and DRLs on the top-end trim. The lower end variants might get aluminum finished imitation DRLs near the fog lamps. Similarly, the base and the mid-variant models will come with 12-spoke wheel caps; the top-of-the-line model is likely to come with alloy wheels. The headlight, bonnet and the tail lights will be similar to the outgoing car.
Changes on the inside will be significant as opposed to the exteriors. While the dashboard will continue to be dual-tone like the outgoing model, the new Swift will come loaded with features. The new Swift will get keyless entry, button start; Bluetooth enabled music system, auto folding electronic ORVMs as well as reverse parking sensors.
Under the hood, the 2014 Maruti Swift will continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre Multijet diesel mill. The new Maruti Swift will go on sale early next month and deliveries are expected to start in three to four weeks time.
