Yamaha records steady February 2012 sales

Two-wheeler company maintains momentum with 23 percent growth in overall sales

Yamaha February 2012 sales



India Yamaha Motor registered a growth of 23 percent in sales in February 2012. The company sold a total of 40,655 units with 27,050 units sold in the country while the rest cumulating in exports. Compared to February 2011 units that stood at a total of 33,406 units with 15.7 percent growth, the two-wheeler maker is picking up momentum.



Roy Kurian, National Business Head, India Yamaha Motor, said, “We are very pleased with the sales growth witnessed in the past month on account of our strong product portfolio and the high confidence of the customer in us. Our accolade models such as the YZF-R15, FZ series and SZ series have been very well accepted. We are also planning to implement our Best 3S (Sales, Service & Spares) set up in tier-2 & tier-3 cities and increase sub-dealers in the rural areas as well to further boost our sales.”



The company has also launched their campaign – Yes! Yamaha, to improve its connect with customers and provide the best 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) experience and with initiatives like the Yamaha R15 One Make Race, Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS), the company is also increasing its visibility amongst the youth.



Currently, Yamaha India has the VMAX, MT01, YZF-R1, FZ1, Fazer, FZ-S, FZ, SZ, SZ-X, & SZ-R in their product portfolio that are produced in the Faridabad (Haryana) and Surajpur (Uttar Pradesh) facilities.
