Royal Enfield will flag off the fourth edition of the Tour of Bhutan from Siliguri, on October 10, taking participants through scenic mountains in the eastern Himalayan ranges.
Thirty riders will journey 1500km over 12 days through the Land of the Thunder Dragons, most of it through uncharted terrain of the Himalayas, covering the Annapurna range and the Shivaliks.
Riding on Royal Enfield bikes, the riders will be cruising through country roads lined with orchards and rice fields, dotted with tiny villages and bustling marketplaces. Most of the roads will be ascending or descending into the hills in a series of sharp or smooth curves.
Royal Enfield has charted out the route specifically to challenge the riders with winding mountain roads, majestic mountain ranges, slushy off-road trails, water crossings, gravel tracks, cross narrow suspension bridges as well as straight sections of road through pristine forest.
The ride will be from Siliguri, West Bengal to Thimpu, the capital of the Himalayan kingdom and back.
