Royal Enfield sales soar by 49 per cent in July

It was another impressive month for Royal Enfield in July 2015 as it registered an overall sales growth of 49 per cent. Royal Enfield sold 40,760 units last month as opposed to 27,314 units it had managed in the corresponding month last year. Exports witnessed a tremendous growth of 72 per cent as the Chennai based bikemaker shipped out 839 units in July 2015. Domestic sales stood at 39,867 units which resulted in a healthy growth of 49 per cent. Sales for Royal Enfield motorcycles are on an all-time high and the iconic two-wheeler manufacturer is focussing its attention on the export markets. In order to accelerate Royal Enfield’s international thrust, Siddhartha Lal, MD & CEO, Eicher Motors Ltd will be relocating to UK for a year, starting August 2015. The Chennai based manufacturer is also developing a new adventure motorcycle christened Royal Enfield Himalayan which is expected to make its debut by late 2015 or early 2016.
