The next big ride from the Chennai-based motorcycle maker will take riders through the beautiful state of Rajasthan

Royal Enfield Company has announced its next big ride, 2011 Tour of Rajasthan happening in the desert state starting from Jaipur on the 9th of October and going on for next ten days before ending on the 18th of October, 2011 back in Jaipur. Taking the select few proud owners of Royal Enfield, the ride will be full of adventure traversing the Thar Desert as well as riding over the long empty stretches of tarmac across the largest state in India. A ten day ride, the Tour of Rajasthan goes through a mix of off-roading routes, sand tracks and straight highways as well as taking the riders through the Aravali mountain range.

Crossing various cities starting from Jaipur, the bunch will ride via Mahansar, Bikaner, the Sand dunes of Jamba, Jaisalmer, Sam, Jodhpur, Kumbalgarh, Ajmer/Pushkar before culminating the ride back in Jaipur. On the way the ride will take the riders to various places including the famous Tanot Mata mandir, then to the Border route of Tanot-Longewala where the legendary 1971 Indo-Pak war was fought. Another highlight of the ride is the Bullet Baba Temple, a temple dedicated to the Royal Enfield Bullet itself. This is right on the National Highway to Jodhpur and has Hoards of people at all times.

Limited to just 30 entries, the registrations for the Royal Enfield Tour of Rajasthan 2011 have been opened for all interested Royal Enfield owners on the company’s official website. Entries will be accepted on first come first serve basis and the riders will have to pay a registration cost of Rs16,000. Stay for the riders will be on a twin sharing basis with bed and breakfast provided to every rider throughout the trip. The band will camp on the sand dunes in Jamba and Jodhpur while in Mahansar the tribe will put up at a heritage castle.
