Royal Enfield Launches Despatch Rider Motorcycles in Mumbai

Subsequent to the official unveil in Delhi last month, Royal Enfield has now launched its limited by number Despatch Rider Motorcycles in Mumbai at Rs 2.25 lakh. The limited edition Classic 500 will be launched in three colours - Squadron Blue Despatch, Desert Storm Despatch and Battle Green Despatch. The Chennai-based bike maker will only make 200 of these motorcycles. 

These motorcycles have been made in the honour of the despatch riders of the World Wars who travelled between the headquarters and ground forces, often riding for days. And nights under varying weather conditions. Each of these motorcycles has been given the camouflage using a unique technique of film transfer that demands use I'd delicate and precise hands. Each panel of the motorcycle is requires specialised and dedicated personnel. The parts are done up separately and then put together at a later stage giving each bike a unique design.

Along with these motorcycles, Royal Enfield had also announced the launch of its limited edition motorcycle gear, once again inspired by the Despatch Riders of the World War. The Despatch range includes all riding apparel from urban protective gear, motor pants with knee articulation, leather and textile jackets and shoes with ankle guards and toe shifters. The Despatch range of apparel from Royal Enfield will be priced from Rs 999 to 19999 and will be available in Royal Enfield stores in Mumbai.
