Here's something that would thrill you, if you love to ride and explore with lots of adventure thrown in - the Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey

Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey

Here’s how it works - a rumble of Royal Enfield bikers will assemble in New Delhi on the 22nd of June and the journey commences the day after that. On the 23rd, the bikers will find themselves riding 856km - divided in the span of four days to make their first leisure stop for the entire day, on the 27th of June, in the beautiful city of Kaza that sits peacefully along the Spiti river banks.

The second leg from Kaza takes place in the span of three days wherein you cover a distance of 526km which includes a 40km off-road ride through a high altitude desert on the Moré Plains, to meet your awaited destination – Leh. It is situated in the district of Ladakh whose name literally means the Land of the Passes. An entire day of leisure in this beautiful land will ensure you are energized again.

The next two days one spends touring a distance of 380km through the silent, vast and beautiful roads of Leh, Hunder and Debring where you will ride through the world’s highest motor able road at 18,380 feet high - Khardung La. An atmosphere of calm and beauty overcomes as you make your way through the regal snowy hills breathing in the fresh air. The rest of the journey home sights beautiful scenery as you make your way through Manali, Chandigarh and finally your way to New Delhi.

Overall, it is a dream ride that lasts 15 days from beginning to end and is considered a highly memorable and awesome ride. It is this ride from Delhi to Ladakh and back that Royal Enfield Riders undertake every year which is often considered as an achievement by many a motorcyclist. Expect every kind of terrain including slush, mud, snow, rain, gravel, tarmac and sand.

Riders who have the will to explore and enjoy will have a blast, as everything else in life, nothing comes easy, so be prepared to get down and dirty.
