The new Audi A4's spy shots have emerged alongside the facelifted A3 in Pune

The next generation A4 has been spied on Indian roads without any camouflage along with the facelifted A3. The cars are possibly being driven to the dealership and could be training vehicles for Audi’s sales executives, as the launch of A4 is imminent, possibly in the next two months. As far as the A3 is concerned, its launch could also take place on or around the A4's day of launch.

Speaking of the all-new A4, we have already driven the car in Germany. The car impressed us with its sophisticated features that will certainly lift Audi’s presence in the country, as its previous iteration has proved to be a volume gainer in the past.

In this next generation of the A4, one can find the latest Audi design language with sharper and more mature cues. The headlamps now carry a thick L-shaped layout along with a new DRL layout. The sides too have grown sharper with a deep character line which wraps around the whole body connecting end-to-end both the headlamps. Move to the rear and you can notice a new triangular tail lamp unit as opposed to the rectangular one on the current generation A4.

Speaking of power sources, the A4 will be available in both diesel as well as petrol trims. Interestingly, the A4 will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission option this time around. On the petrol side, the 2.0-litre TFSI unit will produce 190PS of power and will come mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) as standard. The diesel end will be served up by two motor options a 2.0-litre 400Nm unit which will come with a seven-speed DCT unit along with the said manual transmission option. Meanwhile, the second diesel motor will be a brisker 3.0-litre V6 with massive 600Nm of torque and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard.

Speaking of the A3, it will carry the sharper radiator grille and headlamps inspired by the A4. But, unlike the A4, the interiors of the A3 are expected to stay largely similar to the current car. Stay tuned with us for more updates on A3, as we bring you its first drive review in a week's time.
