New teams in MotoGP 2012

The 2012 season will see new teams entering the MotoGP paddock

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced MotoGP will see new entrants in the 2012 season. By Queroseno Racing (BQR), Forward Racing, Kiefer, Marc VDS, Paddock GP racing, and Speedmaster are some of the teams that will are likely to make their debut next season.



Further, out of the announced teams, Marc VDS will run of a Seuter chassis with the powerplant of the BMW S1000RR. Moto2’s current leader Kiefer wants to continue and develop its relationship and its deal with German Chassis Builder Kalex.

As far as the riders are concerned the offer has been made for one rider per team which too is subject to submission of final plans from the teams. The new entrants are mainly from the top teams in Moto2 and want to make to progress to the leading class of motorcycle racing.



Applications of these teams which want to participate in the next season are still to be assessed which includes Norton’s plans to make its way into MotoGP. The British two-wheeler manufacturer’s request is in process and being considered.
