Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all new S63 AMG sedan in India. This exclusive super-sport saloon is priced at a shopping Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom, Bangalore) and will be available in very limited numbers. The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG will take on the likes of the Maserati Quattroporte, the BMW 760Li and the Bentley Continental Flying Spur in India. The addition of this car adds to AMGs extensive portfolio in India which includes sports cars, SUVs, coupes and sedans.
Visually, the Mercedes S63 AMG sedan gets a much sportier front bumper with huge air intakes and a sport grille that offer an aggressive stance. The rear bumper will incorporate a set of quad exhausts and an inbuilt diffuser that completes the look. The side skirts and huge AMG wheels too add to the drama that the S63 AMG offers. The new S63 will also be a part of the newly launched designo program which allows buyers to choose from a long list of interior trim and color options along with other optional extras like wheels and carbon accents.
Mechanically, just like the S63 coupe, the sedan will feature a twin turbo V8 engine that makes 585PS of peak power and 900Nm of peak torque, all of which goes through a seven-speed AMG spec gearbox to the rear wheels. The S63 AMG sedan can go from 0-100kmph in 4.4-seconds and on to a top speed of 250kmph which has been electronically limited. The limiter of course can be deactivated to give the S63 a much much higher top speed. Expect the S63 AMG sedan to take the fancy of buyers who want a very fast car but also something ultra luxurious at the same time.
