If driving fast on a circuit gives you an adrenaline rush then the German car marquee’s Young Star Driver programme is just meant for you. Registrations for the second season of this race track event are now open, and the finals will be hosted at the Buddh International Circuit on August 8, 2014.

"Motorsports is inseparable from Mercedes-Benz and with phenomenal success of the first season we are thrilled to announce the second season of our 'Young Star Driver Programme' in India. This is a unique opportunity for the budding motorsports talents across the country to showcase and improve their racing skills on international tracks with guidance from globally acclaimed trainers," said Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India in the statement.

The Young Star Driver programme is open for aspirants between the age group of 18 to 25 years, and will be conducted by a nation-wide evaluation process based on different criteria such as race track training, racing acumen, racing aptitude and accomplishments, by Vicky Chandhok and his team.

The jury will select 24 applicants who will then race at the Buddh International Circuit. The winner will get a chance to participate in the AMG driving academy basic and advanced course in India. The victor will also get to participate in Pro-Training in Germany, and also a chance to meet and interact with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula one team drivers – Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg.
