Maruti Suzuki Baleno bookings cross 1 lakh

Maruti Suzuki’s premium hatchback Baleno has crossed the mark of 1 lakh bookings since its launch last year. The Baleno has received a lot of appreciation from the Indian buyer, further strengthening the bond and trust in the brand. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno faces competition from the Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and the Hyundai i20 in the premium hatchback segment. Internationally, the Baleno is also being exported to its parent company in Japan and European markets.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno ticks the right boxes for the Indian consumer with its attractive design, feature-packed interior and trusted motor. The Baleno follows Maruti’s liquid flow design that can be noticed in the lines flowing throughout its length. On the exteriors, the Baleno sports a bold stance accentuated by the projector headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps, chrome accents, sloping roof design towards the rear, and the LED-encrusted tail lamps. Inside, the Baleno borrows bits and pieces from the Swift but renders an overall premium feel to the car. The Baleno gets dual airbags and ABS as a standard feature across all variants.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.2-litre K Series petrol motor is capable of producing 84PS and 115Nm of torque while the 1.3-litre DDiS engine registers 75PS of max power and 190Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol variant has the option for a 5-speed CVT gearbox.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is retailed at Rs 5.11 lakh for the base model and goes up to Rs 8.16 lakh for the top-spec variant. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
