Mahindra announced that its pick up vehicle range crossed the 1 lakh mark in domestic sales during FY-2013. The company managed to sell 1,02,885 vehicles in FY-2013 as compared to 73,134 vehicles in FY-2012, which translates to an impressive 41 per cent growth. By clocking these sales numbers it has achieved its highest sales figure since the company’s inception.
Speaking on this achievement, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive - Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Crossing the 1 lakh milestone of Pick ups in a financial year is a proud moment for us and we are thankful to the customers for patronizing the Mahindra Pick up brand. Today Mahindra has the widest range in this segment to cater to the varied needs of cargo transportation. Having set new benchmarks in style, comfort, convenience and technology, our brands in the Pick up segment are popular since they offer enormous value to the customers.”
Mahindra has 54 per cent market share in FY-2013 and has constantly registered sales of over 15,000 units on a monthly basis. It has also been a pioneer in this segment by introducing many industry firsts like, first AC Pick up, CNG Pick up and the first Micro Hybrid Pick. The Mahindra pick up portfolio chiefly consist of four brands which are, Bolero Maxi Truck, Bolero Pick Up, Bolero Camper & Genio and boasts the widest portfolio in Pick ups to cater to various needs of cargo transportation in our country.
