The Mansory Carbonado 'Black Diamond' model based on the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is limited to just six specimens

Gold, Silver, Carbon and Chrome are elements that us petrol heads are all too familiar with, especially when it comes to the world of special edition automobiles and motorcycles. And then of course we have supercars the likes of a very heavenly looking Lamborghini Aventador that even Christopher Nolan couldn’t keep out of his latest Batman movie script. Way to go Bruce!

True, the standard version of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is up for grabs globally; in India only for those who have a few crores tucked under their mattresses. And our beloved lightweight and extremely rigid carbon material has already been used extensively by the Italian marquee on the Murcielago replacement. All of that put together makes it a very special supercar to me, even if it’s a standard model and not limited to a few hundred billionaire buyers worldwide.

But a firm based out of Brand, Germany that in all probability was born out of a carbon compound and has been modifying high-end luxury and sports car models for over two decades have now managed to transform one of the world’s fastest road legal supercars into a work of art, and in doing so have managed to further tweak its aerodynamic design, sporty interiors and dashing exteriors only to make it hotter, faster and a lot more exclusive compared to the standard version. Only six specimens of the Lamborghini Aventador Mansory Carbonado model will be ever manufactured.

The front body of the Mansory Carbonado model has a striking apron with optimised air inlets for improved ventilation in combination with a new front lip. The front wings, as well as the bonnet, are removed and replaced with proprietary versions.

The sides of this special edition Aventador grow by 40 mm in width on the front axle and an impressive 50 mm on the rear axle. Newly designed side sill sets have also been fitted to steady the airflow between the axles. An enlarged rear wing helps produce contact pressure at the rear axle, while the integration of a diffuser into the new rear apron helps stabilize the car at very high speeds.
The Mansory Carbonado body package is completed by ultra-light forged rims and exchanging the roof and engine-compartment covers with carbon-fibre elements.

On the inside treated leather for the seats and dashboard is both particularly hardwearing and unusually soft. To emphasize the interior's sporty character even further, Mansory has installed non-slip aluminium pedals and real carbon-fibre components.

Thanks to an optimised engine-management system and a high-performance exhaust system the German tuning madhouse has up scaled the Aventador’s already mental performance attributes to 754PS @ 8,300 rpm and 750 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm.  What’s more this version of the 12-cylinder Italian supercar accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 2.8 seconds and can push the needle all the way up to the 355 km/h mark.

A chance to get behind the wheel of a standard version of the Lamborghini Aventador isn’t such a far-fetched dream for a handful of very privileged auto journos, but where the Mansory Carbonado "Black Diamond" version is concerned I think I will just settle for a poster on my bare whitewashed wall.
