The radically styled four door sports sedan has only been available to the affluent customer who can shed quite a sizeable amount of cash on an expensive race car disguised as a road car. It’s quite a bit of news when a car maker like Kia who makes cars for the masses, announces that they are going to make a car as striking as an expensive sports sedan.
First of all, just look at the car. Yes, it’s only a concept but you can tell from the design cues that this is not going to be just another four door sedan. If the Korean car maker can carry forward the major design cues from the concept then the car is bound to be a success. The only concern is the front of the car which looks dangerously like a Nissan GTR. While that’s not a bad thing, too much of a resemblance could do some damage to the Kia brand which otherwise has come up with a very radical design to liven up the boring four door family sedan.
And that’s not going to be the end of it. Kia has announced that their dynamic new four door sports sedan will be rear wheel drive. Going by their intents and purposes its not going to be all show and no go either. The car should pack in a decent level of performance, after all it is designed to be a rear wheel drive sports sedan.
The Chief Design Officer of Kia Motors, Mr Peter Schreyer, said, “I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia, we are ready to fast forward to an all new chapter.”
