Infiniti Q60 concept revealed

Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Nissan, has released the first detailed image of the Infiniti Q60 concept a week before the start of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The Infiniti Q60 concept previews the next-generation production version of the Q60 coupe.

Billed as being a ‘premium sports coupe’, the Infiniti Q60 concept borrows its design cues from the Q80 Inspiration concept and also from the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge. The concept features a low roofline which has been inspired by the Q80 Inspiration concept while the aerodynamic gills located behind the front wheel arches are derived from the Q50 Eau Rouge concept. The vehicle rides on massive 21-inch alloy wheels featuring a jet turbine blade design and black spokes with matte and chrome accents.

Infiniti hasn’t released pictures of the interior as of now, but the company states that the concept receives quilted leather seats that are inspired from the aforementioned Infiniti Q80 Inspiration concept, while hand-stitched leather and carbon fibre accents have been added to spice up the 2+2 seating layout of the two-door coupe.

The luxury carmaker hasn’t revealed any mechanical specifications of this new concept yet. The Infiniti Q60 concept will premiere on January 13, at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
