Swedish bike maker Husqvarna is coming up with very interesting ideas and concepts thanks to the financial backing from its parent company BMW. Last year the company unveiled exciting concepts like the MOAB scrambler and a very worthy road bike in the form of the Nuda 900, and the company recently showed off another concept named Strada at the Paris Motor Show.

Known for its off-roading models, Husqvarna is now shifting its focus to road bikes and with its stylish appeal backed by BMW's engineering mastery, the new models to roll out of the factory seem to be quite promising. The new Strada concept is powered by a single-cylinder 650cc engine that also powers the BMW G 650 GS.

Tipping the scales at 170kg, the Strada concept promises to be a fairly fun-to-ride lightweight machine powered by a grunty motor. Husqvarna is committed to launching the Strada globally in 2012 and the planning and production of this new model is going on in full swing.
