Welcome to the seventh edition of our awards. In the better part of this decade, new segments have emerged and more vehicles have been launched to suit the evolving requirements of the car and two wheeler buyer. The Indian customer has matured well to not just buy any vehicle anymore. There is a purpose to a purchase and it’s not just determined by price and efficiency. Design, performance and desirability gets equal measure in a buying decision and that is making carmakers work harder than ever to deliver products we demand.

And when a carmaker succeeds with a new product, it deserves recognition for the effort. We are here to do just that. Zigwheels assesses every new car and two wheeler with the best in the business and if they manage to impress us in our extensive reviews formulated so you can make an informed buying decision, these vehicles have a shot at the coveted Car and Bike of the year awards. While there can be only one winner each, we also acknowledge vehicles that make an impact in their segment. Our market has expanded to six major car and bike segments, each of which will produce a winner. We also recognize the best manufacturers and technologies of 2014 as well as the most promising motorsport person this year.
