To commemorate the winners of the first India Road Transportation Awards (IRTA) held in 2010, CEAT has now released a book to showcase and give recognition to all the proud winners of the IRTA awards, which has been titled, “Transporters Book of Excellence.”
The launch of the book was followed by the Marketing Head of CEAT Ltd, Vinod Kumar announcing the that the second edition of the IRTA awards will be held in June this year, and that the transportation excellence event has already received more than 750 applications.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “We are very proud to announce the second edition of India Road Transportation Awards and the launch of ‘Transporters Book of Excellence’. The book will help the companies to make an informed decision in contracting the right type of transporters as per their logistics needs. Companies will be able to reduce costs in various way such as bringing down inventory days due to knowing exact delivery dates, reducing Loss due to pilferage and damage in transit etc.
These awards will be hugely beneficial to the transportation industry in India, as it recognizes the contribution of players in various fields, from operations to environment to human resource management and the use of technology and innovation.
