Best Exotic Cars in Bollywood movies of 2011

Bollywood's latest youth-centric movies are definite trendsetters and we've come to notice that this trend extends to the vehicles of choice in many a scenario. One such example was the movie, F.A.L.T.U released in April, which revolved around a group of youngsters and their coming of age.

The movie's protagonists are seen travelling in their rather sexy and stylish Nissan Micra, which also happens to be one of the hottest hatches to make it to Indian shores in the year 2010. I am sure by now almost everyone’s seen what the car looks like and in the flesh; it does look pretty cute.

Another movie that immediately comes to mind in terms of youth and style is Luv Ka The End released in May. The movie had cars like the modified Mahindra Jeep, a Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Sonata Embera and a few others too. Ok, so the movie didn’t do great business at the box office but the cast was always seen driving and planning pranks in the mentioned cars.

Shaitan which was released in June had a rich gal, Kalkie Koechlin and Rajeev Khandelwal. Although the movie did not do wonders but had some great effects and incredible cars like the Hummer H2 and Audi A6. Even Rascals which released in October sported a Hummer H2 amongst others.

No doubt, the cars dominate the fancy of every youth which suits their image to the 'T'. The Chrysler limo has been another iconic car on the screen. Seen in June 2011 Double Dhamaal where Sanjay Dutt, Malika Sherawat and Kangana Ranaut are seen coming out of the Limo. The other upcoming movie where you will see a modified Chrysler 300C stretch Limo is Players, releasing early 2012.

Another movie with a varied list of cars is Salman Khan's blockbuster movie Ready released in June. The movie had a Jeep Wrangler, BMW 5 Series, an E-class Stretch Limo. Opposite to Ready was Imran Khan's Delhi Belly released in July who was seen driving in an absolute non-flashy car, the Hyundai Santro. Delhi Belly was the meanest comedy you're ever likely to see.

Next on the list is the liveliest movie of the year, Zindagi na Milegi Dobara released in July. The movie was set around 3 young men who decide to take a bachelor's holiday to Barcelona, Pamplona, Bunyol, Andalucia in Spain, in the sexy Buick Skylark. The must know fact about the car is that it is a 5.3 litre nail-head V8 engine, which delivers barely 3-4 miles per gallon. Now isn't that rich?

The next scene to be remembered from the release Singham (July) is the next-to-impossible stunt by Ajay Devgan while he opens the door, jumps out from a Mahindra Scorpio and shoots. Wow, is the word that comes! The movie had all influential SUV’s like the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Qualis and Mahindra Scorpio - symbols of sheer power and presence.

Another, action movie Force released in September had some classic cars like the Mark 1 Ambassador and a Morgan may be in a song which was set on a traditional platform, unlike the movie which had John Abrahim as a hard-headed senior narcotics officer who doesn’t play by the book but always ensures that justice is served; though the box office could not do much justice to the movie.

Ra One was a sci-fi movie based on gaming, bad guys and super heroes and when a movie has super heroes in it, the flick surely has to have some great racing sequels to it, and so did Ra One. The actor was the first to get his film promoted in the first ever Formula1 race of India. SRK was also seen sporting a very similar bike, the bat-pod used by Christian Bale in the Batman movie, The Dark Knight.

There's more coming in whatever remains of the year, with the Farhan Akhtar directed Shahrukh starrer Don 2. With cars like Hyundai Santa Fe, Alfa Romeo Mito, Hyundai Sonata 2012, BMW 5 series (old version) and many others, the trailers of the movie look really good. We are set to witness some real good cars with influential drama. Well, the chase continues for SRK. The movie is releasing on 23rd December 2011. Looks like the relationship between hot cars and slick flicks will go on unabated, to capture the imagination of audiences like never before.
